About Golden Chick

Golden Chick is a fast-paced franchise restaurant selling fried chicken. The business is based in Richardson, Texas. Jim Stevens, former COO of Yoshinoya America, succeeded Mark Parmerlee on May 24, 2019, and is now the new president.

The first restaurant was in San Marcos, Texas, in 1967, called Golden Fried Chicken. Franchising began in 1972. Ten years later, the franchise expanded to various restaurants, mainly in central Texas, concentrating on cities like Austin and San Antonio. Eventually, it spread beyond the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and then crossed the state line to Oklahoma and crossed the ocean to Karachi, Pakistan.[citation needed] There are now 180 stores operating in Texas, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, Amman, Jordan, and more regional expansion plans, including one in China.

The brand’s newest menu item includes a five-ounce, hand-breaded chicken breast deep-fried to golden perfection and is set on five delicious pickles and a coating of the brand’s home-made Lotta Zing sauce. Perhaps the best part of all is Golden Chick’s iconic signature hot yeast rolls fashioned into sandwich buns, freshly baked every day.

Opening a new retail place is one of the major moves towards expanding the Golden Chick brand and the ultimate target of achieving 500 locations by 2030, said Jim Stevens, President of Golden Chick. During this time, the company’s staff, unlike ever before, has come together to excel with each other and their guests-this opening is a tribute to hard work and dedication. For potential clients, Golden Chick is thrilled to welcome them to their families and look forward to supporting them for years to come.
