Longhorn Steakhouse is a chain of American casual dining restaurants founded by George Mckerrow Jr and Brain, his best friend, on Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia, United States in 1981. The original name of the restaurant was Longhorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon. The snowstorm that hit Atlanta in 1982 turned to be a benefit to Longhorn Steaks Restaurant & Saloon as many stranding motorists found their way to the restaurant.
